Photography has been a passion of mine since adolescence. In high school, I discovered my love for sports photography, basketball in particular. I was granted two full pages in our senior yearbook to showcase my work. Basketball is one of the most challenging sports to shoot, at least in the pre-autofocus days it certainly was! As a senior in high school, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to shoot NBA basketball, the Los Angeles Lakers, and all their opponents for an entire season plus playoffs... nearly 50 games at the Fabulous Forum in Inglewood, California.
Today I am focused on volleyball. One of the truest team sports there is in my opinion, and a very fast action, difficult to shoot sport. I have been a player and a fan of the sport, so I have a genuine appreciation for how difficult it is and how talented the players are. To try to differentiate my work from others', I strive to capture emotions. The players' expressions before, during, and after a kill or block or save. The mini celebrations that take place after every point.
I just started shooting women's basketball in fall 2024, and am looking to expand my repertoire to include other sports. My portfolio here is a small fraction of all my work, and I am in the process of expanding it.
I also have experience with models, events, studio, animals, street photography, scenic, and macro photography.
I currently live in Portland, Oregon. I have also lived in Chicago, and am originally from Los Angeles. I love to travel! Feel free to contact me about any projects you have or know of, and thank you for taking a look at my site!
